Contents Magazine

Contents is a new magazine at the intersection of content strategy, online publishing, and new-school editorial work, launched today: http://contentsmagazine.net/
From the first article:
"Yet the work of the editor has changed. The same principles are at play, but the contexts in which we publish are new. Publishing in a dynamic format requires a different editorial workflow and approach than publishing in a static one. And therein lies a lot of bathwater: concern for only one context (say, the desktop) without care for others (a phone or tablet); software that imposes the needs of print on natively digital content; and publishing cycles that presume content comes to an end after it’s published."
Folk ride again and raise over $1,300 for MS

At sparrows on Sunday, 6th November, a determined flock of Folk gathered at Sydney Park to bravely face the bum-numbing challenge of the 2011 Sydney to the Gong Ride. As the sun broke over the horizon, ten thousand lycra-clad pedal pushers poured on to the street. Team Folk were swept along, destination – a place in Australian cycling history.
Standing out from the crowd, Daniel proved that you don't need to wear lycra and fancy shoes to ride a bike. Steve's new carbon fibre racing machine was the lightest in the bunch, while Steph's was the heaviest. But like her bike, Steph was unbreakable and conquered every hill. 'A quick ride is a good ride' was Michael's motto and Stu impressed the crowd with his mono-popping skills. A model cyclist, Konstanze made riding a dual suspension mountain bike 90km look easy while Sheldon, the ride captain tried hard to keep the team together. At 6'5", Pete took the ride in his stride and Heidi, an accomplished runner made a successful transition from two feet to two wheels.
After 4.5 hours in the saddle we rolled in to Stuart Park, Wollongong. A little bit sore, but nonetheless glad to have put our bums on the line for MS. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition. Thank you to all our sponsors, you have personally helped make a difference to the lives of many people living with MS.
Congratulations to NPS and Slingshot!

The NPS Be MedicineWise campaign was recognised winning two awards at the 2011 Media Federation of Australia (MFA) awards. The campaign won both Best Strategic Launch Campaign and the Finance / Insurance / Government / Corporate and Real Estate category. A huge feat against some very stiff competition. Congratulations to all involved at NPS and Slingshot. Folk are very proud to be part of this highly successful campaign.
